History

SOciété Générale d'Impression TEChnique was founded in 1964 and quickly became a pioneer in desktop publishing. Sogitec was already active in technical documentation. The Simulation division was created in 1977.

In 1980, the company won a contract for Mirage F1 simulators. In 1984, Sogitec was acquired by Dassault Aviation, the company's main customer. In the mid-1980s, the company was one of the few to produce films and TV commercials entirely in computer-generated imagery. With the arrival of commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) components with enhanced performance and reduced costs, Apogée™ image generation became the benchmark for 21st-century computer-generated imagery.

Rafale simulation centers, NH90 simulators, Apogée™ 8, Sindbad™, FIELD™ Touch, Boosters™: these highly advanced products and services all come from Sogitec.
